The photos are from "Proof" - the interim show of the printmaking and book arts students at Camberwell, which was held at Brixton East, a gallery under the railway arches in Brixton - a great space, with details like this handle on the cupboard once used for the safe -
Another cupboard, huge and intriguing -Overview of the space - it has windows and doors at both ends -
Sarah's prints are the ones I know most about - and of course they're my favourites in the show -
To bolster my insecure memory, a list of other exhibitions I've seen in the past month or so -
Museum of London (especially prehistory and Romans)
Geoffrey Farmer's "puppets" at the Barbican Curve
Andrea Buttner at MK Gallery
Prism at Mall Galleries
Kitaj, and Paul Nash prints, at Pallant House
watercolours at Bankside Gallery (with artist's demo by Tobias Till)
Lichtenstein at Tate Modern
Museum of Anthropology, Cambridge
tour of the Government Art Collection (off Tottenham Court Road)
Sony World Photographer at Somerset House
Becoming Picasso at Courtauld Gallery
Collect (craft fair)
Pae White at South London Gallery
Ice Age Art at the British Museum
would give my right hand (as they say) for that handle. Irene
