Last week's paper. Great photo of Canary Wharf - here's another view, distantly misty, from Hampstead Heath in the early morning -
bringing to mind lines from Wordsworth's "
On Westminster Bridge" -

The beauty of the morning
Ah, poetry -- news that stays news (was it TS Eliot who said that?)
Oh, Margaret- What memories you just evoked! I have the words "...dull would he be of soul who could pass by, a sight so touching in its majesty..." now running through my mind.
ReplyDelete45 years have passed since I learnt that poem and I still remember the dreams it brought of a place so far away and so unreachable... and now I can visit it every day via your blog. Thankyou for that!
