Instead of the usual three layers, I'm using a combined backing/wadding of fleece. It happened to be around; I don't have a big enough piece of wadding on hand, and want to get this finished! The machine quilting is a bit scary, though - a little practice on a scrap is definitely needed.
Note the sophisticated pinning tool - a chopstick. It certainly saves the fingers and helps get those safety pins closed.
I'm still astonished to find eyelash yarn on the blocks. Who put that there, then?
Fleece on the back is a favorite of mine - the quilting really shows up well with machine quilting.........
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the finished piece ;O)
