Battersea

By train to Clapham Junction, 2 stops from Victoria - you can snap the gasometers from the train - No this isn't a penthouse -
The tracks run above the ends of streets of terraced houses -
The reason for a trip to Battersea was to get some fabric from Fabrics Galore for kits for making Little Gems. Both London Quilters and Region 1 are having Little Gem Events in the near future, so Lucy and I had to make time to choose fabric. More about these kits later, perhaps.

On the way back, the bus went over Battersea Bridge. In the distance, the Albert Bridge - it's lit by swathes of lights at night -
Upstream, the houseboats at Chelsea Wharf -
