CMYK cross stitch

I was very excited to come across the work of Evelin Kasikov recently. She has evolved an alphabet combining cross stitch (from her Estonian heritage) and the colour separations used in colour printing - bringing together "slow craft" and technology.
And she's used this combination in other typographic projects - the latest is a logo for Wired magazine (you can see the back of the stitching on the back of the page!) -

and just to show it doesn't always have to be stitch, she designed the Christmas-window graphics for the London coffee chain Apostrophe -
I came across her work via the set of books she made in her MA project, "Printed Matter", which I admire on several levels.
