West Dean between Singleton and Lavant? We used to visit the house when I was wee - about 40 odd years ago when it was owned by Edward James.BYW I think it's 65 Portland Place.
Lovely oval handle - very satisfying to use -

and, out of sight of all but the servants (and now, tutors and students on selected occasions) - the back door -
