Good friends used to have a place on Galiano Island, so this ferry ride is a familar one for me. It is gorgeous and these photos make me want to be there!
Taking the ferry to Vancouver Island is comparable to crossing the English channel, but without the need for a passport.
And the scenery is ... much more scenic.
Various islands get in the way.
Not to mention atmospheric effects.
