The joy of linocut and woodcut is that you don't need an etching press - they can be done at home. Screenprinting and monoprint are other domestic possibilities. The V&A website has a short, useful introduction.
In terms of actual imagery - where to start? ("Start anywhere" - the important thing is to get going somewhere, somehow ... the rest will develop!)
