What a lot of varieties of velcro - to be stuck on or sewn on, in strips and as dots. And there's this one, which sticks to itself -
Perfect for adjustable rings and things, I thought -- but what glue to use? I rather expected pva to be useless for glueing on blocks of paper; nor does superglue work...
I love this stuff, even though I don't have many uses for it. I shall have to look for the self-gripping ties -- hadn't seen them before. It might be time for a stroll through our local hardware store. It's dangerous going there, for monetary as well as tightly wedged, high stacks of delicous stuff.
ReplyDelete'No Nails' love this stuff, sticks well and lasts ages.
ReplyDelete'Hugo's Amazing Tape' sticks to itself - I use it to control unruly threads, from Winifred Cottage (they'll be at the FOQ).
Attaching the little book - don't know what glue but maybe stitching would hold it securely.
Love your books.....
Velcro makes its own glue for attaching but it didn't work for me when I tried to attach Velcro to the fabric of my padfolios. Their self-stick stuff won't hold up to constant pulling apart of the strips apparently. I've used several different archival glues, looking for the kind that will work attaching non-porous to porous. You'll just have to experiment.
