And wondering about nests. (The study of birds' nests is called caliology.)
It's not just birds that build nests:
- A badger's nest is called a sett.
- An eagle's nest is called an eyrie.
- A squirrel's or ringtail possum's nest is called a drey.
- A hare's nest is called a form.
- A beaver's nest is called a lodge.
- A pheasant's nest is called a nide.
- A wasp's nest is called a vespiary.

Furthermore, birds' nests come in various types:
- 1.1 Scrape
- 1.2 Mound
- 1.3 Burrow
- 1.4 Cavity
- 1.5 Cup
- 1.6 Saucer or plate
- 1.7 Platform
- 1.8 Pendant
- 1.9 Sphere
