Signs of the times - reductions

Rather sad - reindeer-decorated cookies that were originally priced at £1.19 (!), reduced to 35p on account of being somewhat broken. And not all that appealing even unbroken, even at that price.

The decoration seems to be a thin layer of painted marzipan.

And in another part of the store -

even sadder, a case of thoughtless pricing - was £5.99, now £4.19 ... but ... at 2 for £8, that was £4 before "reduction".
