and about a week of painting them, waiting for paint to dry between coats -
they are finally up! (and the gap above the doorframe has been remedied) -
and my slip-dipped, once-fired porcelain pots sit happily on them -
ready to draw, evaluate, re-arrange, discard?, develop - before the dust settles on them.
The carpenter has put the tools and trestles away (some time ago).
And there is further progress: my website now has a "ceramics" page, and awaits further images.

TaDA! Looking really good in both places.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, your pieces look so impressive displayed. I wouldn't worry about dust - who'll see it so far up anyway and think of Morandi!
ReplyDeleteThe ceramics are wonderful. Hope you continue with them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection they make! Wonderful that you are able to display them on your new shelves!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of space! Now I am trying to think where I could do this in my house. I have some pretty good carpentry skills and the tools I could do this myself. Your ceramics look fabulous displayed this way!
ReplyDeleteI'm cringing at the table set up in your kitchen, but the shelving looks wonderful, and is a productive use of that vertical space. Perfect location to display your new art! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arrangement and use of space!
ReplyDeleteI love those pots, I'm glad you are displaying them.
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to see them all together! Of course, you have to be the carpenter's height to enjoy the finer details. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSandy
Your ceramics are beautiful and what a great use of otherwise wasted space.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to store them ... They're beautiful. But how about tiny 'exhibitions' of them as you evaluate them in turn? They look too good to be permanently hidden away from sight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of shapes you have created, ready to be pulled down and arranged for a drawing, then returned, reorganized and ready tor the next moment of inspiration.
