Netted

Inspired by The Uncommon Quilter and having bought a net of oranges yesterday, I had a play -- draping the net "artfully" onto a quilt sandwich and adding bits that came to hand.

While doing this you have to imagine the quilting lines that will hold it all together. I love doing lots of parallel lines from top to bottom - but the presser foot might catch in the net, so another layer of net, fine net, would be useful. (Get the wide rolls from a party wholesaler if you can).

Those big squares looked a bit stark, so here's another idea -
