Legible London

What, we asked ourselves on noticing this plaque in the pavement on Bond Street, is Legible London?

It's a scheme for making London more walkable. 109 tube journeys are actually quicker on foot!

"Based on extensive research, the system uses a range of information, including street signs and printed maps, to help people find their way. It's also integrated with other transport modes so when people are leaving the Underground, for example, they can quickly identify the route to their destination" says the website.

Maps and signs all over the place. See them in action here.
