... at the Royal Academy. The luscious colours in the Gauguin, especially the rich blue, made me want to get out my Laurentian [waxy Canadian] coloured pencils and scribble down lots&lots of colours. And what do they have in the shop but colouring books - for kids of all ages - based on painters; no Gauguin, but the Kandinsky will do nicely.

A Kandinsky colouring book? Cool! I remember watching that programme on tv about The Osbornes and seeing a shot of the family arguing, and Ozzy Osbourne was sitting at a desk in the middle of the room working hard at something. The inference was that it was a book, or lyrics for a new song, but he was in fact using a childs book and was colouring in using felt tip pens. Hilarious to see a rock icon given to swearing, drugs, gore, and the base side of life, colouring-in. (btw it the wittering rainbow rebranded because of blogger problems)
