What the camera sees

Fellow travellers were surely bemused to see a camera being held up to knotholes in the fence along the platform at the train station. Most were lost in their sudoku or the celebrity "news" or their ipods, of course ... in the big city, you are invisible ...I'd set the camera to zoom and was intrigued to see what the effect of the size of the hole - and the amount of surround - has on the clarity of the image.
A matter or random framing. Plus there's the bizarre, even silly, connotation that you're spying on the secret life of plants...

Reminds me of the photos of mosses I've been trying to take down the microscope objective - our proper digital camera capture system has still to be upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows 7.
