Art I like - Diana Wolzak

The bread quilt was made in a damp church in 2003. It measures 7 metres by 3 metres, filling the altar space, and consists of slices of white bread sewn together with red thread -

Since 2005 Diana Wolzak has been using red thread to sew together small squares of sheeting -
Other materials she has used include salt, plastic bags, roses, tulips, cotton wool, net curtain, wire mesh, sellotape.

"Wrapping, covering, holding and adding to surfaces is an integral part of nearly all my work. New surfaces are created, the space is redefined, and sometimes a purpose is rediscovered in the process," she says.
