Drawing Tuesday - Horniman Museum

Let's start with this spectacular headdress in the World Gallery
... or maybe these are just the thing?
And yet there's lots more in this case! -
Couldn't decide, so I went upstairs to have a coffee and  warm up -
... warming up with a couple of chairs and moving on, via the photo, to the wonderful feathers in the head dress, and then to those be-tassled swords and their shadows. A mixed bag -
I was being rather lazy, but everyone else was very busy and diligent.

Janet K looked hard, long, and well at a "ceramic monster" in the Lore of the Land exhibition -
Sue found a ceramic pipe, Sami reindeer pipe, and ember tongs ... with their shadows ...
Carol's multicolour pages are a great background for these two wedding figures from Java -
Janet B was happy to catch a couple of eider ducks among the creatures she captured on other pages -
Was it coincidence that the colours of Najlaa's drum matched her clothing - and nail polish?
Judith added some dark background to an area of the tangled grasses - quite a difference! -
... and she also set out an iron leaf plate and a large grotesque head from Japan -
This is just one of Jo's several animal portraits -

Extra-curricular activities

Sue had been drawing along to the RA's life drawing session, which was live streamed and is now available here (so do have a look and do some life drawing, in the privacy of your home!) -
,

Najlaa brought in photos of her Piece for Peace, which was shown at the Festival of Quilts. She was also interviewed for the Talking Quilts project -
