Drawing Tuesday - RAF Museum

After extensive work on the site, the pedestrian entrance to the museum now has a pedestrian entrance is convenient to the bus stop and - 10-minute walk aside - to Colindale underground. Access is via Hanger 1 - enter and exit via the gift shop!

I wandered over to the WW1 hanger and started looking hard at the biplanes.

This one attracted me to the graphics, but it was hard to see its structure - and what would it look like on the page, foreshortening making it all tail? -
The view from my bench -
I "took the nearest" and before starting, looked at it from all sides -

The result, top drawn laboriously from the real thing and bottom drawn more quickly (but less satisfyingly) from the photo -
More planes -
