Some of the text I'm copying comes from these books, which come from the £1 bin at "the art bookstore near Tate Modern" -
Azure is the catalogue of an exhibition of photographer Susan Derges' work, with a thought-provoking introductory essay; Art in East and West: an introduction through comparison was and continues to be a surprise, and it does what it says on the box, compare a western and an eastern painting or sculpture in detail, one after another, complete with mid-60s grainy reproductions -The yellow book came home with me because of the texture of the paper, rather than because of the interest of the contents -
It's destined for serious alteration. I dislike everything about the contents, but the fact of it being a carefully-made book redeems it.
