It seems to be the only sandwich shop on Sandwich Street WC (West Central London) - Sandwich Street is only a block long, running from the cafe at one end to the pub at the other. Next time I went past, back in August, the cafe was closed; a note on the door mentioned staff holidays.
Another town with a Sandwich Street is Dublin.
The cottages were around the corner from Sandwich Street, Dublin, in 1913; for other historic photos of Dublin, look here. And what's this strange old vehicle? It's the British American Brewing Company truck, 1945 - that brewery, now demolished, was on Sandwich Street, now renamed, in Windsor, Ontario.
Enough diversion already!
