(Was) new to me

Lawrence Weiner (b.1942) combines lines and words - on a grand scale -
In 1960 he made Cratering Pieces in Mill Valley, California, with dynamite. His first solo show was in the legendary Seth Sieglaub gallery in New York in 1964. His 1968 book "Statements" is considered one of the seminal conceptual artist's books of the era. Since then his preoccupation has been the capacity and presentation of language. He lives in New York and Amsterdam.
