Replica wallpaper from the 1790s parlour at the Geffrye Museum. The preferred look in the 1790s was "neat" - which meant bright and stylish as well as clean and tidy; this wallpaper and its borders are based on a sample found in a house of the time - the original would have been printed in the 1780s.
