Front and back

Years (and years) ago I had a phase of mindless stitching with variegated silks, soft as butter. No point on hiding those lustrous threads behind the fabric, was there ... but oh my, those careful little stitches are not on my current agenda, much as I enjoyed them then.

There was a thought of making these into book covers, hence the dupion silk around the panels, which extends to include a back cover. Those books never happened, and now the almost-covers need repurposing - perhaps as yoga-mats for my ceramics, as inspired by Betty Woodman.
