The American Kate Hunt is a sculptor.
"These new pieces continue the artist’s exploration of basic materials which are first cut and compressed, then tied and coated, and finally ordered into grids or decorative sconce-like forms. The compacted, sheared newsprint can assume the form of a flag as readily as an abstract geometric form." She trained at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
