Knitty/stitchy day out

A surprise at the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace [in 2011...!] was a pair of beaver-fur gloves - sooo soft!! - among the items made by women in remote Nunavut, northern Canada. 

Perhaps less surprising: "Knit your own dog" and "Knit your own cat" books - the finished creatures did look good...my photo doesn't do them justice
